| A goodbye |
[Jul. 25th, 2006|09:27 pm] |
I'm not sure how many of you know this, but I'm moving away. Not sure why I'm posting this, but, I guess I like closure.
This journal is ending, too. Not that it's been exactly lively the past year or so, but now it will be officially DEAD.
Goodbye, LJ. Goodbye, Boulder. Goodbye, people I used to know.
Hello, new life. |

[Jul. 18th, 2006|02:13 am] |
I was sick today, on my birthday.
Well, technically, getting over being really sick.
Almost made a second visit to the hospital for another IV drip though. I guess you could say it was progress that I didn't have to.
And, now that it's past midnight, a hearty Happy Birthday to Anna! It was nice seeing you when you came back, and i hope yours goes better :) |

- Don't judge me for my anxiety.
- Work things through with me.
- Reassure me that everything is OK between us.
- Laugh and make jokes with me.
- Gently push me toward new experiences.
- Try not to overreact to my overreacting.
What I Like About Being a Six
- being committed and faithful to family and friends
- being responsible and hardworking
- being compassionate toward others
- having intellect and wit

in myself
- fearing being abandoned or taken advantage of
- exhausting myself by worrying and scanning for danger
- wishing I had a rule book at work so I could do everything right
- being too critical of myself when I haven't lived up to my expectations
Sixes as Children Often
- are friendly, likable, and dependable, and/or sarcastic, bossy, and
stubborn
- are anxious and hypervigilant; anticipate danger
- form a team of "us against them" with a best friend or parent
- look to groups or authorities to protect them and/or question authority
and rebel
- are neglected or abused, come from unpredictable or alcoholic families,
and/or take on the fearfulness of an overly anxious parent
Sixes as Parents
- are often loving, nurturing, and have a strong sense of duty

Did you know, that when I was writing that title, "fun for the whole family" I actually wrote "whore" instead of "whole" on accident, and almost didn't catch it?
yeah.

EDIT
(you're going to have to manually add the exclimation point at the end in the adress bar, otherwise you'll get the wrong "kara".) |

Got a haircut today, getting reading glasses tomorrow (turns out I'm still far sided in my right eye.. I had glasses in elementary school, but I stopped wearing them when I got braces and headgear >.> maybe this will help with my headaches.)
oh yes, I also guess that I forgot to tell everyone I quit the suncoast job, because they filed for bankruptcy and the store I was actually working at is closing next month. Go enjoy sales :)

| | Him- Razorblade kiss | ] | I just had a nice, delivery-pizza christmas eve dinner with my 4 favorite relitives in the world. <3 And just them. My world is alright.
(my dad, my grandma -dad's mom- my aunt Cindy, who's taking care of my kitty, and my uncle David, who was always the jokster.)
I don't think I've ever been in a room with just the 4 of them, alone at one time. oh, it was soooooo nice.
Tomorrow is going to be awkward a bit though, cause a cousin I haven't talked to since I was like 6 is comming, + her mom and newest husband (I think this is her 9th husband now?) and my schitzophrenic/alchoholic uncle.. (though my grandpa won't be there, he's in Arizona: he doesnt like people anyway) and, a few other people too.
SO yeah, tonight was awesome, and I'm looking forward to xmas morning with my mom and her current boyfriend, too. She gets me excited saying that I'll -really- like this christmas year from her, so I think she was actually able to get me something from my list! which is neat. <3
the only bad thing about the day was work. but i've decided to strike those 8 odd hours out of my mind for xmas eve... cause well, that shouldn't be a part of anyones life! I am happy, however, that my manager was able to go home for christmas for the first time in 14 years!! I was so happy for her, I actually counted down the last hour she worked last night before her flight XD hehe.
oh yeah, and that little thing where I kept waking up last night, cause I couldn't breathe, but my grandma gave me pills (ollive leaf) which is a cure-all for immune systems. (my family secret)
I'm proud of the presents that I was able to give out this year, as few as they were. (you are a group of lucky people, you 4. well, 2 not including family XD ) |

Its mind blowing. literally. If you haven't seen it, pick it up RIGHT NOW. (and watch it in the original language, with subtitles. Dubbing is for 'tards. trust me.) |

| Hey, remember when...? |
[Dec. 3rd, 2005|07:30 pm] |
If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now (even if we don't speak often), please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me.
It can be anything you want -- good or bad -- BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE.
When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you.... if you want..." |

| Dear El-Jay |
[Nov. 9th, 2005|11:22 pm] |
I have internet in my new apartment.
and the flu.
On the other hand, I got around to applying for CU a while ago, and I got the acceptance letter last week. Maybe I should get around to confirming that sometime soon?
i still need help moving a dresser and desk if anyone with a bigger car than mine is up for it. :/ they're both pretty light. |
